over 5 years ago – Mon, Nov 26, 2018 at 12:18:16 PM

When one thinks of the quintessential sculptor, you think of the one and only MIKE HILL

Mike Hill is a Los Angeles-based artist and sculptor, originally from Warrington, Cheshire in England, who specializes in ultra-realistic models of monsters from classic horror films. His work includes small figures for model kits to busts to life-size representations of monsters in well-known poses. His work has featured in Madame Tussaud’s waxworks and in films such as the Academy Award Winning THE SHAPE OF WATER and the upcoming feature film SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK. In addition to his work as a sculptor, Mike is also an accomplished painter and illustrator. We are honored and ever so humbled to have him contribute to our project.

Artist Showcase 08: STEPHANIE BUSCEMA
over 5 years ago – Mon, Nov 26, 2018 at 12:18:15 PM

We’re proud to introduce one of our favorite artists and people, STEPHANIE BUSCEMA, who’s work you’ve probably seen in products from Disney and almost every major comic book publisher.

Creating work using traditional methods drives Stephanie each day in the studio, mixing colors, making a mess and making new discoveries. The past inspires her and what she makes to no end, vintage Halloween art to old picture books, antique packaging or even just a scrap of colorful vintage fabric...there's just something about these old treasures that gets her going. To conjure up feelings of nostalgia and whimsy through image making is her goal as an artist, to preserve a little piece of the past through her own eyes and own voice.

Currently, Stephanie tackles a variety of projects ranging from illustration work, textile design, and publishing assignments. She’s also the owner and designer of Kitschy Witch Designs, a clothing company featuring her original art and styles — we highly recommend supporting her small business!
